What is the book-club? The book-club is for everybody. You may love to read, or you may only little a little - but you can join anyway! We are an open-minded group of people from all over the world. We share opinions and basically have a good time. No, we are not a bunch of nerds - times have changed and you can have beauty and brains. Who started the book-club? The book-club as we know it today was founded by Naridu. She had earlier met Sootica while searching for some "Aussie content". Later Naridu asked Sootica to co-run the book-club with her, as "two heads are always better than one!" Is the book-club "American"? Not at all! We are international! Though the co-founders are both Australian, the book-club is open to all ages, all races, all locations! How do I join the book-club? Firstly, you must have a Diaryland diary. Secondly, you need to be very familiar with the rules so that you'll know the do's and don'ts. Then you simply fill out the application form and join the diary-ring. Naridu will email you with the password. Once you've done that don't forget to add an entry saying hi to everyone and telling us a little about yourself. How do I fit in with the rest of the book-club? Participate. Get to know your fellow members. This is why actually reading the set literature is important, so that you won't feel left out. Signing guestbooks of other diaries are also another handy way of getting friendly with others - many of the founding members first met after signing each others guestbooks! How do I participate? There are a number of ways you can participate. Post relevant topics on the open diary. If you're good with graphics why not make some buttons, banners, wallpapers and/or layouts? The more you participate, the more you'll be known and the more you'll fit in with everyone. But it's up to you. What do I post on the diary? Basically anything that is relevant and has to do with the current literature. Any thoughts, opinion, news, spoilers (which must be accompanied by a spoiler warning). Please do not post about your daily life events, nor how many times you've read the books (or seen the movies). You have your personal diary for that. But I've still got more questions!
